UNITYtalks is predicated on an idea that we can leverage our collective wisdom to change, improve, and Build Perfect Teams! We've created an open platform which invites teammates to join us for informed conversations about relevant topics. These topics include everything from pop culture to current events.

It is critical that we drive progress through this platform. We ask that each teammate commit to four simple, yet important, rules which will govern the communications throughout. The talks will be facilitated by a teammate. Be prepared for that teammate to challenge your thoughts, pose new ides, and support your arguments.

Remember that we are building the "large group of thoughtful committed citizens who change the world."

1. I agree to challenge my teammate(s), but will not interrept. I understand that being wrong is a win in this conversation because it means we are closer to our goal. Being right is only a win if WE are truly right.

2. Understanding is my word of the day. Agreement is icing on the cake. I'm comfortable with disagreement, but I will continually seek to understand my teammate(s). We will "walk a mile in each other's shoes."

3. I'm smart, experienced, and have perspective. Though these qualifications are important, I recognize that I am not qualified for everything. Opinions mean nothing unless we take the time to back them with facts so I will prepare.

4. The most important thing I can change during this talk is myself. My intention is to have fun, work together, and develop a new understanding which will make me a better teammate.
